Proverbs 16:9 ESV
The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.
Although the Lord may grant the desires of our hearts, the heart can be deceitful and wicked (Jeremiah 17:9). Thankfully, the Lord guides and directs our steps.
He Establishes
It’s easy to be swayed by the heart. We are creatures of passion, moved by emotion. It’s important to remember that even though our hearts may yearn for worldly things that are not part of the plans God has for us, it is God who establishes His plan in our lives. He leads our hearts back to Him, to His plans, and to the steps we need to take on the way. We don’t have to work or fight to be who God wants us to be. He establishes us.

Where is your heart?
Where is your heart today? Are you allowing God to establish His steps in your life? Just ‘“let go” and “let God” do the work. Trust in His plan.
